What is a Food Allergy?

An estimated 2 to 8 percent of children in the United States have food allergies. The human body is protected from germs and infections by the Immune system. Our bodies uses molecules called anitbodies to recognizes germs and infections. Different people have different immune systems. People are diagnosed with food allergies if their immune sytem looks at certain foods as an infection.
